Russia Today interviews Neal McCluskey of the Cato Institute about the Obama Administrations plan to spend $150 billion on education as part of the so called stimulus package.
McCluskey, a former high school English teacher, says that this is just throwing money down a hole. McCluskey says this is just a cynical move by politicians to show how much they care. McCluskey says that what education needs is real competition. Government funding of education needs to be decoupled from the provision of education. We should give the funding to parents and let them choose a school.
