A very brief snippet where John Roberts of CNN asks Ron Paul about Bob Barr's presidential campaign. Paul states that Barr does not share his track record for freedom in Congress but that Barr does present his views and can have a positive effect for Liberty.
While I was a supporter of Mary Ruwart for the Libertarian nomination, I intend to support Bob Barr for president. I do believe that on many issues Barr has come to realize he was mistaken in the past. Barr represents an opportunity to gain automatic ballot access in many states for the Libertarian Party if he does well this fall.
Ballot access would make it easier for other Libertarians to run for office. Right now Libertarians have to spend enormous amounts of resources to even get on the ballot. This is because of laws passed by Democrats and Republicans that set up different requirements for third party and independent candidates to get on the ballot.
